Saturday, 19 January 2008
Kiefer Sutherland will be released from jail on Monday morning after spending 48 days inside.
The 24 star was convicted of his 2nd drink driving last September and for violating probation from an earlier offence.
'Throughout his stay, he never griped, never complained,' prison officer John Balian tells People.com.
'He never wanted preferential treatment from the get go, and we respect him for that.'
Kiefer, 41, celebrated his 21 December birthday, Christmas and New Year inside the Los Angeles prison where he's been helping in the laundry.
The actor is due to appear in horror movie Mirrors, which will be released this year.
