Letitia Dean: I split with my husband 18 months ago

Strictly Come Dancing Star reveals the truth behind her heartache

When Letitia Dean recently announced her marriage was over, everyone presumed that she and Jason Pethers had just split up.

But now the ex-EastEnders star has admitted they parted over a year and half ago.

'Given what is being written in the tabloids, everyone seems to presume that it's suddenly 'Strictly Heartache' for me now,' she says. 'But close friends know that Jay and I actually separated about 18 months ago.'

Letitia, 40, says she simply drifted apart from Jason - her husband since 2002.

'As a couple you can, hopefully, go down the same path together as long as you share the same desires and dreams,' she tells Hello!. 'Unfortunately, many of us fork off in different directions.

'Separating was horrible and devastating but now we're in a good place. I've got nothing but good things to say about Jason.'
