Leona Lewis wants an Oscar

X Factor winner sets sights on Hollywood

Leona Lewis has set her sights on acting glory.

'Look at Jennifer Hudson, who won an Oscar for Dreamgirls after being on 2004's American Idol,' she says.

'I've done drama and dance, so who knows where things might lead.'

The X Factor winner, 22, admits that she's ambitious.

'It's about reaching as many people as I can. My aspirations are high,' she tells Hello!

Leona, who signed a £5million US recording contract in February, is due to release single Bleeding Love in America next year - and hopes to take the States by storm.

But the Hackney diva says she has a long way to go to match mentor Simon Cowell's popularity in the US - the Yanks can't get enough of him.

'I went to see American Idol and the crowd went crazy when Simon appeared,' she reveals. 'They love him over there.'
