David Beckham’s tattooist: Having Victoria’s name was a bad idea

Louis Molloy says he advised soccer ace not to have risky tattoo

David Beckham’s tattooist has revealed he advised the footie ace not to get branded with wife Victoria’s name.

Louis Molloy, who's been sticking ink under the skin of the soccer star - and Posh - for 8 years, insists it's sensible advice because so many marriages fail.

‘I would say that to anybody because the divorce rate is one in two and, as a professional, you have to advise people,’ he says.

‘Once they’re on, they’re on. Things like wives’ names is almost like the kiss of death.’

But Manchester-based Louis says he’s chuffed that David, 32, has decided to stick with him as his main tattooist.

‘It’s been nice to see him grow as a person,' he tells Hot TV. 'You get to see a different side of one of the most recognisable faces on the planet.

‘They’re really down to earth people and it shows there’s more to tattooing than meets the eye.’
