David Beckham gets his kit off for Armani

Becks will model in his underwear

David Beckham will front a new campaign for Emporio Armani underwear.

The footie ace, 32, has been named the 'face' of the designer range and has reportedly signed a 3-year contract which will earn him £20 million.

Becks will get his kit off for saucy shoots and appear in billboard and fashion magazine adverts to promote 'Emporio SS08'.

Italian designer Giorgio, 73, created the uniforms for the England football team in 2002 and is friendly with the Beckhams.

'The personal relationship was definitely instrumental in this deal,' a source tells the Scotsman.

'David and Giorgio get on very well so it was very much Giorgio's personal choice. But Armani also see this as a sound business decision - few individuals have a truly global reach that can match David's.'

The LA Galaxy player's contracts with Vodafone and Gillette end this year but David still has deals with Adidas, Pepsi, Motorola and Coty.

Last year he earnt over £11million for endorsements.
