Russell Brand: I had a harem of 10 women

TV presenter lifts the lid on his wild sex life

Russell Brand has revealed he was sent to rehab for sex addiction after keeping a string of girls on the go.

The outspoken TV presenter – who booked into a US clinic in 2005 – couldn't get enough of brief flings and steamy encounters.

‘At one point, about 5 years ago, I had a harem of about 10 women, whom I would rotate in addition to one night stands and random casual encounters,’ Russell confesses.

‘I was on the brink of becoming sufficiently well known for my carnal over-indulgencies to cause me professional difficulties.’

A worried pal took him to the Keystone clinic in Philadelphia where he was forced to share a room with a paedophile.

But the comedian, 32, failed to take his addiction seriously.

‘I’ve got a bit on an eye for the ladies,’ he admits in new autobiography My Booky Wooky.

‘Now as a kind of punishment I’m rooming with a paedophile. Is this gonna be helpful?

‘It’s like them lads that get sent down for nicking a car radio and end up sharing a cell with a diligent bank robber mentor who schools them in criminality.’
