SHOCK RESULT! Matt Damon voted Sexiest Man Alive

Actor scoops People award

Matt Damon has been voted Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine – despite competing against Hollywood heart throb Brad Pitt.

The bizarre result sees the actor – who’s married to Luciana Bozan - beat George Clooney Johnny Depp and even Justin Timberlake to the prestigious title.

But it seems the result came as much of a shock to Matt, 37, as it did to us.

‘You gave an aging suburban dad the ego boost of a lifetime,' he says in a letter published in the magazine.

‘I was really shocked and happy (Lucy said I actually blushed) when I heard the news. So I can't thank you enough for that.

‘My 9-year-old stepdaughter now thinks I'm cool — well, cooler.’

Other hunks in the list include Will Smith, Ben Afleck and Grey's Anatomy's Patrick Dempsey, who came second.
