Michelle McManus: I felt like Madonna

Pop Idol winner got superstar vibes

Pop Idol winner Michelle McManus has likened herself to Madonna.

Michelle, 27 - who's lost a massive amount of weight since her TV talent show win in 2003 - insists she felt like Madge, 49, at a recent Saturday night gig at London's G.A.Y nightclub.

The Scot was performing with 3 dancers - 2 male and 1 female - to add some raunchiness to her routine.

‘It was some night and I felt like Madonna as I was being walked out by bouncers and everyone was lunging at me,’ Michelle tells the Daily Record. ‘We were all dressed in purple.’

She even sang a few of Madonna's hits, including Material Girl.

Once a size 28 and an incredible 23st, 5ft 2in Michelle is now a size 16 and weighs 13st.

Her slimmed-down size has perked up her love life.

'I’m really into pulling men,' he admits. 'I enjoy going out with my mates and not knowing who’s going to be out.

'I don’t mean to sound like a complete slut! I just enjoy being single and having a cheeky snog or some flirtatious fun.'
