Jude Law: I'm happy my affair became public

Actor relieved he was caught in bed with nanny Daisy Wright

Jude Law says he's thankful his sordid affair with his children's nanny was exposed to the public 2 years ago.

The Hollywood actor was named and shamed in 2005 when Daisy Wright lifted the lid on their clandestine relationship while he was engaged to Sienna Miller.

But despite the embarrassment and hurt it caused his family and former fiancée, the star says he's relieved the public know everything about him.

'I'm not happy I hurt people,' he admits.

'But I am happy it was on such a public level. In a way it was like washing your laundry in public, and yep, there you go, you've seen all the rubbish.'

So now Jude, 34 - who has three kids with former wife Sadie Frost - thinks he's off the hook.

'Now I feel there's nothing left, you've seen it all and I can get on,' he tells the News Of The World. 'In a weird way that's kind of wonderful.'
