Keira Knightley: I threw my BlackBerry into the sea

Actress admits she chucked her high-tech gadget away

Keira Knightley loathes modern gadgets.

‘I hate my mobile,’ she says. ‘It rings and then I realise I don’t want to talk to anyone. So I press ignore.'

The actress, 22, once owned a fancy BlackBerry personal organiser so she could receive emails as well as calls, but she chucked it into the ocean.

'I then went, “Oh my God, I want to be eco-friendly but I’ve chucked a BlackBerry into the sea”,’ she tells Elle.

‘So I fished around but couldn’t find it anywhere, so I had to leave it.’
