SEE VIDEO Beyonce Knowles to make country album

Singer collaborating with folk song-writer Amanda Ghost

Beyonce Knowles is reportedly set to make an album of country and Western songs.

The singer, 26, will collaborate with award-winning folk songwriter Amanda Ghost who co-wrote James Blunt's hit You're Beautiful.

'Beyonce wants to try something completely different,' a source says. 'She's a fan of country music and thought that would be an interesting and exciting way to go.

'She tested the water at the American Music Awards [singing Irreplaceable with US country duo Sugarland] and she is up for it.

'She contacted Amanda early this week and she is going over to work with her on it.'

'Beyonce is very excited,' the source tells The Sun. 'Country is still hugely popular in the States. Combined with Beyonce's popularity, this could be absolutely huge.'

Yee ha.
