Prince threatens to sue fans

Lawyers issue letters calling for removal of his images on fan-sites

Prince has threatened legal action against 3 of his biggest fan-sites.

The pop icon, 49, is citing breach of copyright on Housequake.com, Prince-fams.com and Prince.org.

His lawyers have demanded the removal of all photographs, images, lyrics, album covers and anything linked to his likeness.

Fans who run the sites have been asked to provide ‘substantive details of the means by which you propose to compensate our clients for damages,’ reports the Guardian.

Prince's most loyal followers say the ‘cease and desist’ notices also ask for the removal of snaps taken of their tattoos dedicated to Prince.

In September, the star appointed internet company Web Sheriff to police YouTube for use of his material.

Prince is also rumoured to monitor websites himself to find unofficial use of his work...
