Marc Bannerman: I have fallen in love with Cerys

I’m A Celeb star admits feelings for singer

Marc Bannerman has spoken about his feelings for Cerys Matthews for the first time since being booted off I'm A Celeb.

‘I think I have fallen hook, line and sinker,’ he says. ‘I have fallen in love.

The former EastEnder, 34, admits he'd have been tempted to cheat on girlfriend Sarah Matravers, 32, had he stayed in the jungle.

‘I think the situation between Cerys and myself was getting serious,' says Marc.

'There was a lot of flirting going on and I realised I was doing it, but I couldn’t help it.’

Sarah, who's been involved with for Marc for 2 years, is hopping mad about his relationship with Cerys.

‘I spoke to her and she’s – well, she’s hurt. I’ve hurt her badly,' he acknowledges. 'Of course I apologised, I can’t apologise enough.

‘It’s not about how little or how much I’ve done, it’s just the fact I’ve brought tears to someone’s eyes.’

Marc wants to stay friends with Cerys, 38, when she leaves the jungle, but doesn't reckon Sarah will let him.

‘I saw the vulnerability in Cerys and she needed a bit of support because she’s quite a delicate little thing really,' he tells the Daily Star.

Marc denies flirting with the ex-Catatonia singer was a publicity stunt to make him famous.
