Holly Willoughby: Kids’ TV was wild and naughty

TV presenter admits to nights of drinking before early morning shows

TV presenter Holly Willoughby admits she used to drink all night before presenting ITV's Saturday morning children's show Ministry Of Mayhem.

'There were times when we went straight from the hotel bar to going live on air,' she recalls.

‘Everyone in children’s TV drinks until 5am. If you mess up, no one cares.’

Holly, 26, actually vomited on live TV after one 'bonkers' binge.

'It doesn't help when you read the script and you've got to drink anchovies in custard with some 8-year-old.'

The show, later renamed Holly And Stephen’s Saturday Showdown, saw its final episode aired in July 2006.

‘It got a bit too wild when my breast popped out of my dress,’ Holly tells Live magazine.

Now fronting dating programmes Streetmate and Holly And Fearne Go Dating, the memories of kids' TV linger on.

'No matter how hard you scrub in the shower,' says the former teen model, 'you can't get the smell of custard pie off your skin.'
