McFly's Tom Fletcher: Amy Winehouse was a naughty schoolgirl

Pop idol dishes dirt on ex-schoolmate

McFly's Tom Fletcher has revealed that he was at school with Amy Winehouse.

'I think she was asked to leave, which is the polite way of saying she was expelled,' he says.

'She was always in trouble, as far as I remember.'

The McFly pop idol attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School at the same time as Amy, but says they were never pals.

'I didn't really know her,' he admits, 'but I saw her at school every day.'

Tom, 22, claims that the high-haired chanteuse was better known for her big mouth than for her big voice at school.

'She liked to speak her mind,' he tells The Times.

'I don't remember ever hearing her sing.'
