Viewers vote Beverley off The X Factor

Primary school teacher doesn't make it to the final

Beverley Trotman

The five final acts for The X Factor 2007 were chosen tonight.

Leon, Rhydian, Niki and Same Difference breezed through.

Primary school teacher Beverley Trotman, 37, and girl group Hope got the least viewers' votes so had to sing again in front of the judges.

Louis Walsh chose Beverley to stay, as did Dannii Minogue.

Simon Cowell decided his own act Hope should be saved and Sharon Osbourne agreed with him - leaving the contest in deadlock.

The final decision was then based on the original public vote.

Beverley, who sang Without You, received the lowest number of calls so was sent on her way.

'I have appreciate this opportunity so, so much,' she said. 'I feel really excited, this is not the end.'
