Heather Mills: I've been a dormant volcano

She says she's had to let go of her feelings

Heather Mills claims hubby Sir Paul McCartney refuses to divorce her unless she signs a gagging order.

But the ex-glamour model, 39, wants to be able to fight back at media criticism because, she believes, Sir Paul hasn't protected her.

‘I want the freedom to be able to tell my story should I need to defend myself,' she explains. 'I offered to Paul that if he protects me from the hatred I'll receive because I am a wife of a Beatle, I'll never say anything derogatory about him.

‘He wants me gagged and they won't give me a divorce until I'm gagged. So I'm waiting for the 2-year separation. I've been this dormant volcano for 18 months and now I've had the explosion of my feelings. He forced me into a corner.'

Heather also accuses Macca, 65 - who she claims refused her offer of a pre-nup because he thought it wasn't 'romantic' - of being stingy with his £825m fortune.

‘This is a man that hangs on to his money,’ she says. ‘He wouldn't be as rich if he didn't. Who needs that kind of money?'

And Heather also likens herself to Sir Paul's late wife Linda and TV presenter Paula Yates - who she thinks both had to die before they received any sympathy.

'They will carry on abusing me, like they did Linda, for the rest of my life,' she tells Hello! 'And once she died, she was absolutely revered, because that's what they do...well I'm not going to have that.'
