They’re back with their storming new single Home this week, and now we bring you an exclusive preview of tracks from Westlife’s forthcoming album Back Home.
The player includes the current single, as well 3 new tracks: Us Against The World, Something Right and I’m Already There.
Tipped to be the second track off the album, Us Against The World is a classic Westlife power-ballad. The lads – Shane Filan, 28, Nicky Byrne, 29, Kian Egan, 27, and Mark Feehily, 27 – reckon it’s the best song on the record.
Something Right is a Backstreet Boys-esque tune, which has a sing-along chorus and a great pop beat; while I’m Already There is ballad with a folk/country sound.
Westlife have also done 3 covers/remixes: a dance remix by Soul Seekerz of Home, an up-tempo cover of Bonni Tyler’s Total Eclipse Of The Heart and a cover of American rockband Chicago’s Hard To Say I’m Sorry.
The first 2 are a break from the boys usual sound, with an up-tempo dance feel.
Hard To Say I’m Sorry plays out like a classic Westlife single and sounds fab.
