GMTV presenter says public must get what they want

Kate Garraway has spoken out about Gabby Logan’s shock axing from Strictly Come Dancing – and says it was right she got the boot.

The GMTV presenter, 39, received the lowest score from the judges on Saturday, but survived the public vote which put Gabby, 34, in the bottom two.

Kate reckons that the viewers' decision shouldn't be questioned as that is the whole point of the show.

‘People spend their hard-earned cash voting to keep people in so they should get what they want,’ she says.

‘They are the viewers and it's important to them. I don't know why people vote the way they do. You're in your own little world just trying to dance.’

And Kate insists she and Gabby, an experienced rhythmic gymnast who was determined to do well in the show, have not fallen out.

‘I think Gabby is a brilliant dancer,’ she tells the Daily Mirror. ‘I saw her after the show and there is no animosity.’
