15-year-old withdraws from competition

Emily Nakanda has sensationally quit the X factor after shocking videos featuring the 15-year-old came to light this week.
The schoolgirl was caught on camera joking about cutting out someone's eyes and also appearing to have a vicious fight with a mystery 'pal'.
She has now pulled out of the talent contest after tabloid newspapers brought to light the alarming footage.
‘In response to the stories in the papers this week regarding Emily Nakanda we have conducted our own investigations into the matter,' a spokeswoman for The X Factor reveals.
'And we can confirm that she has chosen to withdraw herself from the competition with immediate effect.’
The young singer is said to be devastated at having to leave the show – but her family are determined to teach her a lesson.
‘As a family we are heartbroken and are very disappointed with Emily's behaviour,’ Louis Friberg, Emily’s mum says.
‘We feel that there is no choice but to withdraw Emily from the competition.
‘Emily regrets her actions but there is no way, as a family, we can excuse her behaviour. Emily is very sorry to have let the show, Sharon and the viewers down.’
And Sharon – Emily’s mentor – says she’s ‘deeply saddened by the whole situation.’
