Paul Potts' wife to begin IVF

Britain's Got Talent winner wants a baby

Paul Potts and wife Julie-Ann

The wife of opera singing sensation Paul Potts is about to start IVF treatment, now that the couple can afford it.

Paul and Julie-Ann have been trying for a baby for 4 years but haven't been lucky yet.

They wanted to try fertility treatment but could not afford the £3,000-a-time bill until Paul won the £250,000 top prize on the ITV talent show Britain's Got Talent.

'They've been trying for a baby for ages,' Julie-Ann's mum tells The Daily Record. 'If they could have afforded IVF treatment before, they would have had children by now.

'I know how desperate they both are for children. It would be a dream come true.'

Paul, 37,from Port Talbot, Wales, was previously a Carphone Warehouse salesman before winning the show earlier this year.

He flew home from the US leg of his world tour last week to be by his 27-year-old wife's side for her treatment at Port Talbot hospital.
