Kylie Minogue: I'm constantly reminded of my cancer experience

Singer says disease is part of who she is

Pop icon Kylie Minogue says even though she's successfully battled breast cancer, the disease is still something she carries with her.

'I'm constantly reminded of those experiences, not only because people ask me about them, but also because they're a part of my life,' she explains.

'They're a part of the experiences that make up who I am. I also have to go to check-ups, things like that.'

Kylie, 39, admits that resuming her Showgirls Homecoming Tour tour last year after having treatment was essential for beating the depression she experienced when not working.

'I had the feeling I'd been stopped in the middle of a flight,' she tells the Daily Record. 'A tour needs to gain momentum. It's just like riding a bike: you need to gather speed.'
