Brave singer delayed surgery to have tender moments with daughters

Russell Watson is said to be in a ‘critical but stable’ condition after having a life-saving brain operation.
The opera singer, 40, became ill on Wednesday night in Manchester and was immediately taken into surgery at the private Alexandra Hospital in Cheshire.
Last year Russell had a benign pituitary adenoma removed through his nose.
‘The MRI scan had shown regrowth of a previous brain tumour and some bleeding,’ says doctor Michael Stroud. ‘His condition remains critical.’
Russell is expected to remain in intensive care for 2 days.
‘It's been a tough day,’ his rep tells the Daily Mirror. ‘He looks pretty grim. He's alive, that's the main thing. He's in and out of consciousness, he has spoken.’
And it turns out that brave Russell held off surgery to share a few tender moments with his 2 daughters Rebecca, 12, and Hannah, 6.
‘That's all he thinks about,’ his agent adds.
