Guy Ritchie: I'm not into my wife's music

Madonna’s husband says he prefers Irish folk songs

Guy Ritchie has admitted that he’s not a fan of 49-year-old Madonna’s music.

‘To be honest, I'm not really into pop music,’ he says. ‘That's just not my scene. I'm more into Irish folk songs.

'It's funny being a Brit and saying that but I think they have a lot of soul. I'm sorry if everyone is shocked I'm not into her music.’

The director doesn't mind revealing that he and Madge don't see eye to eye on what's a good tune, but has denies that the adoption of Malawian tot David Banda, 2, almost caused them to split.

‘He's part of the family now,’ Guys tells the Daily Mirror. ‘We haven't talked about the adoption for ages - he's part of us. We don't talk about it. We haven't talked about it for the past 6 months.'

Madge and Guy are set to gain permanent custody of David when the Material Girl flies out to Malawi for a review of their temporary care order.
