Spooks star Rupert Penry-Jones reckons she’s too much of a free spirit

Kylie Minogue’s ex Rupert Penry-Jones reckons that the pop princess will never settle down.

He dated Kylie for 9 months in 1999, after they starred together in a production of William Shakespeare’s The Tempest in Barbados.

But Rupert, 37, says he can’t imagine the 39-year-old ever tying the knot.

‘I thought I was one of the luckiest men in the world at the time, and, to be honest, I can’t believe it lasted more than a week,’ he admits.

‘She’s an extremely free spirit – I don’t think she’s ever going to belong to anybody.’

The Spooks star is now the partner of actress Dervla Kirwan. The couple have 2 children – Florence, 3, and Peter, 1.
