Actor wants to help Becks forget about soccer

Tom Cruise plans to cheer up David Beckham, 32, after his latest footy disappointment - by treating him to a day of fun.
The actor, 45, has become close pals with the Beckhams since their move to the States, and now that LA Galaxy has failed to make the play-offs in the US Major Soccer League, he knows David will be twiddling his thumbs.
'I'm not going to know what to do with myself. I'll be keeping on training and keeping fit no matter what,' says Becks sadly.
But Tom has the perfect remedy.
‘We will go out and fly some airplanes or race some cars or something like that,’ Tom, 45, told Radio 5 at the film premiere for Lions For Lambs in London.
‘I’ll talk to Victoria and see if she’s alright with that. But we’ll have some fun.’
