Singer performs at BBC Electric Proms without the girls
Friday, 26 October 2007
Mark Ronson was forced to perform without his two leading ladies on Wednesday after both Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen failed to join him on stage.
The singer, 32, performed at BBC Electric Proms at the Roundhouse and told the Camden crowd that his duet partners were no-shows.
‘Lily Allen was supposed to be here but we had a misunderstanding and she wouldn’t do it,’ Mark announced.
‘So I looked for the next best girl’s voice in London – here’s Ricky Wilson. We don’t need Lily.’
And Amy – who’s away touring in Europe - was unable to a make a flying visit so was replaced by The View frontman Kyle Falconer who performed Valerie with Mark.
But despite the absence of the 2 stars, Mark wowed the crowds with his own rendition of the Kaiser Chiefs track Oh My God which Lily covers - and was supported by Noel Gallagher, The Coral and the amazing BBC Orchestra.
