The royal brothers consol Jonny Wilkinson and the lads
Monday, 22 October 2007
Princes Harry and William helped England’s rugby stars get over their World Cup final defeat - with 6 hours of partying.
The team suffered a 15-6 loss to South Africa in Saturday’s crucial clash, but spirits were still high.
Jonny Wilkinson, 28, and the royal brothers tipped out of the L'Etoile nightclub in central Paris at 6am on Sunday.
‘It's such a shame,’ Prince William, 25, told the Daily Mirror. ‘We should be proud. We can definitely win it next time.’
And the partying didn’t stop there.
Harry, 23, and Wills met up with the players again for a small drink at the Marriott Courtyard hotel yesterday, as they watched Lewis Hamilton's unsuccessful attempt to snatch the Formula One world championship.
‘William and Harry love their rugby and were gutted that England didn't win the World Cup,’ a pal of the Princes says.
‘But they felt immensely proud of the team and also having the chance to have a few drinks at the end of the tournament. You could call it a royal seal of approval on the campaign.’
