Stardust actress struggles to understand why she's followed

Claire Danes is fed up of being hounded by paparazzi and says she can't understand why the photographers bother to trail her.

The actress - who is currently starring in new movie Stardust - hates the fact she is living in the public eye.

‘My life is so much more invaded now than it used to be,’ she moans. ‘Almost every day now in New York I’m followed.

'I do find that irritating and difficult.’

And to make matters worse, the 28-year-old doesn't even rate herself as a good actress - claiming she's rarely ever pleased with her performance.

'I think the main problem is that I'm exceedingly self-critical,' she tells Stella.

'I complain the whole time, mainly about my acting. I complain about it when I do it and I complain when I'm not doing it, too.'

Our advice? Thank the Lord you're not Britney Spears, take the hefty pay packet and keep quiet...
