Sir Paul McCartney to offer Heather Mills £25m

He ups initial offer to reach settlement by Friday

Sir Paul McCartney has reportedly offered estranged wife Heather Mills £25m to finalise their divorce by the end of this week.

Macca, 65, has increased his initial offer – thought to be just £3m of his £825m fortune.

‘There is no guarantee - but it's the closest they've been,’ says a source.

The details are still being discussed, and Sir Paul is keen to secure a confidentiality clause to stop Heather from talking about the 4-year marriage.

‘There has been so much speculation about this case but here are the hard facts,’ the source tells the Daily Mirror.

‘Paul, on the advice of his lawyer Fiona Shackleton, originally offered Heather £3 - £5 millon. But there was absolutely no way Heather's legal team were going to accept that.'

Heather, 39, is being represented by Anthony Julius, the lawyer Princess Diana hired for her divorce from Prince Charles.

‘There has been serious wrangling going on behind the scenes for months and months and months and he has finally managed to get them to hike the package up to about £25million.'
