JK Rowling reveals her bra at book signing

But author manages to keep her modesty

Harry Potter author JK Rowling was left red-faced after popping out of her dress at a book signing.

The 42-year-old's low-necked frock suddenly slipped as she leant forward, revealing her bra to an audience of giggling school kids at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre.

Once her wardrobe malfunction was pointed out, JK was able to cover up quickly and seemed unflustered.

'Oh gosh!' she said. 'Thank you for that. You can have any questions you like answered now.'

JK is currently on a book tour of the US.
