Louis Walsh to quit X Factor

He’ll do one more series before leaving

Louis Walsh has announced he’s quitting the X Factor next year.

The pop mogul, 55, says he wants to concentrate on managing his established acts.

‘I will do one more series,’ Louis tells The Sun. ‘I have really enjoyed doing it but I’m not a TV star, I’m a band manager.

‘X Factor takes over your life. By the end of the final show I am exhausted, and then I have to work with my acts.’

Louis will now focus on keeping the hits coming from Westlife and Shayne Ward.

But show bosses deny Louis is quitting.

'Despite rumours that Louis will not renew his contract for series five, we've been told to let you know that as far as the show is concerned, there is "no truth at all in these rumours",' the X Factor website says. 'So it looks like our favourite Irish judge will be around for a long time to come.'
