Take That cool down with ice baths

Band face the big freeze after gigs

Monday, 15 October 2007

They put their bodies through a two-hour workout on stage every night, but Take That are still met with a frosty reception afterwards – literally.

The boys have started having ice baths to soothe their worn-out muscles after their energetic performances.

Gary Barlow, 36, Mark Owen, 35, Jason Orange, 37, and Howard Donald, 39, heard about the benefits of cooling off from football coaches.

‘It’s horrible when you first get in, it’s freezing and it physically hurts,’ Jason tells The Sun.

‘I can only stand it for about a minute but when you get out it feels amazing. You can almost feel it healing your body. Hopefully it will help us get through the shows ahead of us.’

We’re sure a massage would be just as relaxing, boys.
