Charlie Cox, star of new blockbuster Stardust, says the idea of being famous terrifies him.
The 24-year-old was an unknown when he was cast to play the lead in the fantasy film opposite Hollywood mega-stars Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer, and is not used to all the attention.
'Fame terrifies me,' he tells the Daily Mail. 'I can say that with honesty. You're terrified that, when people know the real you, they won't like you.'
Before hitting the big time, Charlie had only had a few bit parts - you might have spotted him in the film Casanova and TV show Judge John Deed.
He's chatted with pal Sienna Miller about preparing himself for the flashing bulbs on the red carpet and paparazzi intrusion - but she hasn't been able to reassure him.
'We've spoken about it,' he says. 'It seems it's a hard balance to strike.'
