Jennifer Ellison: I didn’t kiss a boy until I was 16

Actress was too busy dancing to get up to any monkey business

Jennifer Ellison has revealed she waited for her first kiss until she was 16.

The actress might appear to have bags of confidence but she didn't start to dating until she was out of school.

‘My friends were all drinking cider at bus stops and I was doing 5 hours a day ballet training,’ she explains.

‘I didn’t kiss a boy until I was 16 because I was never out at parties or hanging round the streets.’

But the 24-year-old – who’s just split up from Tony Richardson after a turbulent 7-year relationship – says she’s glad she concentrated on her career because now she's reaping the rewards.

‘Learning about the hours, the effort and the hard work has helped me in every other job I have done afterwards,’ she tells the Sun.

‘I was never confident in me as a person but I was as a performer.’

Now Jen’s putting her dancing skills to good use and is judging US reality TV show Dirty Dancing: The Time Of Your Life - and is even hoping to snare a new man along the way.

'What's happened hasn't put me off men,' she says. 'If one came along I wouldn't say "No, I'm I don't want to meet anyone else." If it happens, it happens.'
