Kim Cattrall: Samantha haunts me

Sex And The City star can't escape her outrageous character

Sex And The City star Kim Cattrall says her character Samantha has become a burden.

Kim, 50, played the sex mad New Yorker for 6 series and now feels that is the only impression people have of her.

'Nobody's really interested in getting to know me,' she reveals. 'I feel jealous of Samantha because I feel like maybe I might be quite funny or interesting if I was given the chance.'

After reported spats with co-star Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim is now busy filming the movie version of the hit show - but not everyone is looking foward to its release.

'I flew from Ireland to Canada in economy class recently,' the star tells Glamour.

'This woman started talking loudly saying, "There's this woman who used to be an actress on the plane - she was in that thing Sex And The City, which I thought was garbage."'

We'd have got the pilot to have chucked her off the plane.
