Michelle Ryan: I was a tomboy

The new Bionic Woman liked to play football

Michelle Ryan

Brit Michelle Ryan, who played Zoe Slater for five years in EastEnders, is socking it to Americans as the all-action star of a remake of the TV series Bionic Woman.

Michelle, 23, plays the role made famous by Lindsay Wagner in the 70s and is perfect for the part as she's aways been a bit of a tomboy.

'My mum would dress me up in a pretty, frilly dress to go to a party and then I’d spend my time kicking a football around and playing with the boys,' she says.

'I’ve always loved to run around and dance. I’m a real girly girl at heart, but at the same time, if I’m not working I won’t wear make-up and I’m quite happy in flat shoes.

Michelle spends three and half hours a day in the gym and has impressive abs.

'It’s two hours of personal training and one and a half hours learning the routines of the martial art krav maga, invented by the Israeli army,' she explains. 'I’ve been doing sprint training, cardio work and life training.

'I’m getting abs and my muscles are getting bigger.'
