Lindsay Lohan: My parents' divorce made me rebel

Actress says she craved attention from her family

Lindsay Lohan says she thinks it was her parents' divorce that sent her off the rails.

She admits she craved attention from her mum and dad who separated 2 years ago.

‘I think the trouble in my family resulted in me rebelling and doing things to try to get my parents' attention,’ Lindsay tells In Touch.

‘It can be hard and draining on the children and the family.’

Lindsay was arrested for drink driving in July and checked into rehab the following month in a bid to slow down her crazy social life.

But now the actress, 21, says she feels humbled by her experience during rehab at Cirque Lodge in Utah and has enjoyed getting to know her estranged dad Michael - whom she hadn't seen since his release from prison in March.

‘I think it was really important for me to get a connection back with my dad,’ she says. ‘I hadn't had that in a while.’
