George Clooney has defended hospital staff who allegedly peeked at his medical records.
George, 46, broke his rib in a motorcycle crash on 21 September, and was treated at the Palisades Medical Center in New Jersey.
Now a number of employees have been reportedly suspended without pay, accused of accessing the actor's medical records and possibly sharing the information with the media.
‘This is the first I've heard of it,’ George says in a statement.
‘And while I very much believe in a patient's right to privacy, I would hope that this could be settled without suspending medical workers.’
George and passenger Sarah Larson, 28, were injured when his motorcycle collided with a car on a narrow road in Weehawken on the outskirts of New York City.
