This year’s Hell Kitchen star talks about his broken friendship with the ranting chef
Thursday, 11 October 2007
Marco Pierre White has spoken of his bitter feud with one-time protégé Gordon Ramsay - saying that he has no time for the foul-mouthed chef.
The two were once firm friends but haven't been on speaking terms since Gordon turned up at his mate's wedding to 3rd wife Mati Conejero with a camera crew.
Marco has no interest in a reconciliation.
‘I think there’s too much water under the bridge,' he insists. 'I don’t wish to enrich Gordon’s life and he’s incapable of enriching my life.'
Marco, 45, disapproves of his former friend’s famous way of handling his kitchen staff.
‘You don’t have to shout at and belittle to get people cooking,’ he tells Sunday Express magazine.
But Gordon was once afraid of Marco who, when he was a young man, made him break down in tears.
‘People say I made Gordon Ramsay cry,' says Marco. 'I say, "Gordon had two options: he chose to cry".'

how can Marco say he disagrees with Ramsey shouting at kitchen staff?! All hells kitchen is is Marco shouting and belittling people in a kitchen for an hour! hypocritical fool. Nice to see that the student took what Marco taught him as his 'protege' and turned it into something which has made him a world famous celeb, id like to see how many people recognize Marco in the states.
I disagree, I think there's a significant difference between Marco and Gordon's management style. And don't forget that fame and respect in a field are different things. I'm sure Marco is respected by all the right people in the States.

2 amazing prizes to be won!
