Singer makes the worst career choice in history

Britney Spears has applied for a new job – as a bartender!

US web site TMZ reports that Britney checked into the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica, California at 10:30pm on Thursday.

She then went downstairs and started talking to a bartender, before walking out with an application from the night manager to work in the hotel's Cameo Bar.

The job application is now rumoured to be in the hands of the Viceroy’s HR department.

While Britney’s music career isn't going quite to plan, a bar job is possibly the worst choice she could make.

Along with needing to put on a sober face to regain custody of her children, the singer has also been ordered by a judge to have regular drug and alcohol testing.

TMZ claims the hotel has yet to comment on the matter.
