Hugh Grant parties in student digs at St Andrew's

Actor joins girls for late night tipple – and a quick kiss and cuddle

Hugh Grant visited Scotland to play a bit of golf and ended up at a university party.

The Hollywood star, 47, joined a gang of female students for a few bevvies at St Andrew’s, Fife, following a pro-celebrity match.

In true student style Hugh then moved onto the girls' digs to continue the fun and ended the night with a kiss from Caroline Hargreaves, 20, and a quick cuddle with her pal, Cecilia Hoffman.

Caroline, from Oslo, Norway, later joined the actor for a 4am champagne nightcap at Hugh’s hotel with two friends.

'He was really nice and charming,' says Caroline, who insists nothing romantic happened.

Yet the Notting Hill star wasn’t a hit with all the ladies.

'He tried to be funny and joked, "Who lives in this hovel?"' claims a student to the Sun.

'Then he clicked his fingers when he wanted more drink. I said, "Don’t you say please?’”
