Singer shows off Marilyn Monroe inspired bob

Kylie Minogue turned up at the Q Awards last night sporting a new sleek Marilyn Monroe-inspired hair-do.

The singer showed off her gorgeous blonde bob as she arrived at the Grosvenor House hotel in London's Park Lane.

The 39-year-old, who's ditched the curls she's favoured since her treatment for breast cancer, was awarded the Q Idol award at the glitzy bash and fans gave her a standing ovation.

'It's my first day back at work like this so it's very exciting and slightly nerve-wracking,' she admitted as she arrived.

'Just don't ask me what [Q Idol] means, but I'm very grateful and honoured to be receiving this.'
