Michael Jackson to appear on X Factor?

Superstar to mentor contestants

Michael Jackson is rumoured to have agreed to be a mentor on ITV talent show The X Factor.

The superstar will spend several days with the finalists in December, helping them prepare their songs, steady their nerves and offering support and advice throughout the week.

And Jacko even looks set to give his own exclusive performance on the Saturday night live show.

‘We’ve got some huge names, but Michael Jackson really is sensational signing,’ an insider tells The Sun.

‘He's a truly worldwide superstar. Everyone is delighted. This will be the best show on TV.’

Other acts to appear on the live shows, which kick off on 20 October, include Girls Aloud, Celine Dion, Rihanna, Kylie Minogue, Mariah Carey, Shayne Ward and Leona Lewis.
