SEE VIDEO Spice Girls battle over new album

Single announced but rows over other new track

The Spice Girls have announced the name and release date of their new single.

The group are set to release a ballad called Headlines six days after they release their greatest hits album in November.

'It's a Spice Girls classic. We're so proud of it,' Geri Halliwell says on GMTV. 'We started putting words down before we even had the finalised yes from everyone.

'Emma and I initially worked on it with the original writers we used to collaborate with and then the other girls chipped in later on, adding lyrics.'

However, things might not be as rosy as they seem.

It's reported in The Sun that there's tension between the girls over the other new song to be added to the greatest hits album.
