Lily Allen: I feel sorry for Britney Spears

Singer jumps to Brit's defence

Lily is a lady in red at the GQ Men of the Year awards

Lily Allen is the latest celeb to jump to the defence of Britney Spears – and says she must be under enormous pressure.

The outspoken singer - who has also had her fair share of drama - showed a softer side at Paris Fashion week and blamed paparazzi for Brit's downward spiral.

'I can’t even imagine what it must be like for her,’ she tells The Sun.

‘I wake up with 5 paparazzi outside my house [but] she can’t get away from it. That must be a huge stress and whatever she does is her way of escaping.’

Britney, 25, has been at the centre of media scrutiny over recent months and now she's temporarily lost custody of her kids.

But despite Brit's horrific year, she still has the support of fellow celebs including Rihanna and P Diddy – who have both defended her recently.

'My heart goes out to her,’ Lily says.

‘I feel that she must be in a tough place right now. It’s really upsetting.’
