Singer's new girlfriend spotted wearing ring

Troubled rocker Pete Doherty's new girlfriend Irina Lazareanu, 25, has been wearing a ring on her engagement finger, sparking rumours the pair are set to wed.

Pete, 28, met the Canadian model 10 years ago when she was a backing singer for one of his bands. They got together following his split from Kate Moss.

Irina, who coincidently was chosen by Kate to model her Topshop collection, is also reported to have confirmed the rumours.

'She had a huge rock on her finger,' a friend tells People magazine. 'When I asked her about it, she said she was engaged.'

Wonder what Kate will think?
