Singer fails to turn up to present her driving licence

Britney Spears reportedly failed to show up in court last night – despite securing a valid driving licence.

The troubled star, 25, was supposed to appear in person to present her California licence after claims she was driving in LA illegally.

But she didn’t turn up. Instead she sent her lawyer Sorrell Trope to argue there had been ‘an administrative mix-up’.

‘It’s like Britney doesn’t care,’ a court source tells The Sun.

‘It was expected that she would show up in person to show she has a valid driving licence – and to show she cares about getting her kids back.’

She handed over custody of Jayden James, 1, and Sean Preston, 2, to estranged hubby Kevin Federline, 29, on Tuesday.
