Halle Berry: my struggle to conceive

Oscar-winner waited 35 tests to get a positive

Halle Berry has revealed all about her struggle to get pregnant with boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.

‘There was a lot of staying home and doing what you do,’ says the 41-year-old Oscar-winner.

‘Like, all the time, around the clock!’

‘Finally, after about 35 [pregnancy] tests, we got a positive.’

Halle is now three months pregnant and determined to keep the sex of the baby a secret.

‘There's so few genuine surprises in life any more. Why not have a huge surprise?’ she says.

‘And I like fantasising: one day it's a girl, one day it's a boy.’

But while pushchairs and nappies are on the cards, wedding bells are something her new addition won’t be hearing, as the couple simply don’t see the need.

‘I feel more married, in a way, than I ever have in two marriages before,’ Halle says on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
