Beyonce pulls out of Malaysia gig

Religious concerns make her act impossible

Beyonce Knowles has cancelled a gig in Malaysia because she doesn’t want to offend the nation’s Muslim population with her skimpy clothes and booty-shaking dance routines.

'They foresee that when she comes over to Kuala Lumpur there will be protests against her,' says a source inside her agent ICM. 'They didn't want that to happen.'

While Malaysia is a fairly relaxed Muslim country with a large non-Islamic community, Beyonce also felt the government’s rules against skimpy clothing and running or jumping on stage made it impossible for her to perform.

'When she comes to Malaysia she has to change all her stuff,' the source adds to Reuters.

'Basically, the ministry wants her to stand in front of the microphone. Just sing and not move.'

Somehow we can't imagine Beyonce toning down her routine that much!
